Wash your skin well with very warm water, and  leave it wet.

Wet the surface of Solid Shave with warm water, then apply in a thin layer of transparent glaze. Solid Shave only needs a thin application - resist the temptation to apply a thick layer, or to rub until it lathers. Solid Shave won't create a drying lather, as regular soaps will. It will look shiny and wet on your skin, and remain transparent.

Use a fresh blade, rinsing often.
